Pretty Day!!

Audrey and I had to get out today-- who could stay inside with the temperatures in the 70's? We'll be back inside tomorrow-- the high is 56 degrees!

It snowed!!

I meant to post this last week but I forgot. It snowed here last Monday!! If it had gotten any deeper we would have had to go get some bread and milk. :)

This is a hodge-podge of random cuteness from the past week or so.


We found our feet a couple of weeks ago and they are the best things since sliced bread!!!!



New toy from Granny and Paw Paw!! She loves chasing this thing around her pallet. She will scoot and grunt,grunt, roll, roll until she can get her mouth on it!


First day back at church (we still can't take her to the nursery so we took her in the sanctuary with us. We were nervous about that-- hence the reason she was 5 months old before she ever stepped foot inside the church. We shouldn't have been worried, she was precious).

Pig tails

Clay and I had a little fun with Audrey this afternoon when he got home from work!! She's such a good sport.... and yes, this is our 5 month old with pig tails. Can you believe that? I can't!!!



Audrey showed off a new trick this afternoon also. Unfortunately it means that we are going to have to take her mobile down!! She can now track the mobile as it goes around and reach her little hand out and grab onto it!! She surprises me everyday!

Right after Audrey was born, I went to a consignment sale at my church. A photographer had set up a drawing for a free portrait session. I registered for it and I won!! She came and took Audrey's portraits here at our house for her 3 month session in December. Click here for the pictures.

We cheat.

For those of you who don't know me that well... I am a rule-follower. I am sure that will surprise some of my high school friends that read this blog but I am definitely a rule-follower these days. Our doctor told us to give Audrey rice cereal when she was 5 months old. We did it the other day. She's 4 1/2 months. I know that you mommas who've been there done that are probably laughing at me right now but I can't help it. What the doctor says goes...usually. He also said not to put it in her bottle. He said to feed it to her with a spoon. We put it in her bottle. That is working out to some extent- we just can't give her all that she needs that way. The doctor (I think he said that- I may have read it somewhere)said to mix it and give it to her on a spoon; that putting it to her lips would cause her sucking reflex to kick in and she would suck it off the spoon--- whateva! That didn't happen. It just went every where and she gnawed on the spoon. THEN-- my friend, Dawn, came over and showed me how to mix it pretty thick and shove it in her mouth. That worked better but we have to practice, practice, practice so that we don't get it all over ourselves and fifteen burp cloths. Here are some pictures of when Clay and I tried it for the first time. The consistency of the cereal is like milk. She wasn't too keen on it.

We love, love, love to eat our exersaucer. It's so yummy-- especially those butterflies at the front!





Clay's mom gave Audrey this outfit and his Nanny made her this blanket. She almost blends in with the cats!
