We are in training....

"Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6

We had Audrey's baptism Sunday. We are so excited to be able to share God's love with her and to raise her "in the way she should go."
Beware-- many photos follow! (Thanks, sweet Ty for taking the photos at church!)

The picture of the back of Audrey's dress shows two beauty pins. One was Clay's when he was a baby! The other was new.
We enjoyed having our family come up here and celebrate Audrey's baptism with us. You may have noticed two important people missing from the photos-- my daddy and my brother-in-law. Daddy is working an outage right now so he works from 9:00am to 9:00pm everyday for six weeks! He wasn't able to take off work to come. Alan (the Manny) is the low man on the totem pole at work since he just graduated from the Sheriff's Academy and he wasn't able to make it either. We missed them! :)

I'm sorry that I posted so many pictures. I am using this blog as a scrapbook so sometimes I post things that are only important to me and our family! Bear with us! If you are still hanging in there and you want to see all 100 or so photos from Sunday-- I've posted them on my facebook account so if you are my "friend" on facebook-- you've gotten a double dose!

I will actually probably post more photos later in the week. Our church is sending us the photos they took also!

Miss Priss or as her daddy calls her...

Wildcat.

She's getting a bit too big for her Bebe Pod. It is getting snug aroung her little waist. She still manages to squirm around and almost wriggle out. She no longer sits in her bouncy seat appropriately either. She likes to have her head where her feet should be and her feet where her head should be.

We got out the jogging stroller that Aunt Melissa and Uncle Shad gave us last week. Audrey enjoys being able to see the world rather than being confined in her pumpkin seat! Please notice the beautiful asparagus fern in the pot on the porch. If you want one like it, refrain from giving yours any nourishment throughout the winter. That should do it!

Clay's working 6/10's for a little while at work-- until they can get caught up. He hung Audrey's swing for her on his only day off this past Sunday! He also mowed the grass and all that other responsible adult stuff. Don't ask me if we went to church... :((

This photo is from this morning. Wildcat couldn't decide if she wanted to sit or stand. She's not 100% confident in her abilities to pull up so she would rather I help her. I was too busy taking her picture. :)

Now I better go get busy on some of that responsible adult stuff. She's been asleep now since 2:30! It is 4:40!! If I couldn't hear her breathing on the monitor I might would have thought something was wrong!

Spring Break

This week has been Spring Break for all my teacher buddies and Audrey and I have had so much fun!! I love that they are all out because I can chat with them on the phone in the middle of the day and go out to LUNCH!! Woo-hoo!! I can't wait until summer!

Audrey also went to her first birthday party this week. Sweet little Clara turned three and had quite a fancy party! She had it at a cute little toy store! The girls had hot pink feather boas, decorated "high" heel shoes, a fashion show, and the birthday girl sprinkled all of them with magic birthday dust. So cute!! Audrey just took it all in- she's a bit too little to participate! Maybe when Clara turns 4 Audrey can join in the fun.

Today is Audrey's 7 month birthday. She has become much more mobile in the past month. Although she is not crawling yet, she somehow manages to get herself wherever she wants to go!! She is pulling up on her Leap Pad Table thingy and tries to stand up whenever she can. If we are on the floor, she wants to hold my fingers so she can pull up, then she will promptly sit down, then do it all over again. We probably do that about a hundred times a day!! It is so much fun to her!

She can also sit up from a prone position. She did that for the first time this week and I didn't even notice! Clay came in from work and asked me if she was doing it yet and I said "Nooo..... she probably won't do that for a looonnngg time!" and then about 10 minutes later we both look down and she was sitting up!! She did it!Since she has learned to do that, it is a bit harder to get her to go down for a nap. I will lay her in her crib and she will promptly sit back up. Not sure yet how we are going to take care of that!

This morning I awoke to a very weird sound coming from the monitor. I jumped up and quickly looked at her to see what was going on--- she was sitting up in the bed scratching on something. I couldn't see through the monitor what she had so I took off running up there to check on her and this is what she was doing.....

Now I have to get back to this...

.... before Audrey wakes from her nap. I have to have it done before next Sunday!

Pigtails!!

Daddy having some fun with all that hair in the bath!!

Uncle Alan graduated!! No more Manny at our house. :( We miss him already!

Aunt Lesa and Audrey at Uncle Alan's graduation. This was after Audrey pulled her hairbow out. That is her latest/greatest trick! She doesn't let those hairbows stay in long before she pulls them out and sticks them in her mouth!

Granny and Paw Paw came up last weekend and kept Audrey so we could go on a date (and they could get her all to themselves!).
