Super Shopper

Audrey and I spend a great many of our afternoons outside playing. We use to go on wagon rides everyday or I would push her in her car. Now that she's become more agile (this just started this week, actually), she'd rather push the car herself or pull the wagon. She would rather not be strapped in or contained in any way. So... we spend most of our time just walking around the yard, up and down the driveway, or swinging in our swing.

Unless we are shopping.

The girl loves to shop.

Particularly for empty diet coke bottles, tomatoes from our "flowerbed", her sippy cup and the occasional leaf or two.

The whole time she's "shopping", she's also telling me all about it. She just babbles and babbles and babbles! Every now and then she will let me hold one of her tomatoes or even a leaf if I am lucky! Not for long though-- she usually takes it back pretty quickly!

I got this shopping cart at a yard sale for $.25. I think it was worth it!

13 months

Audrey is 13 months old today! She is growing and growing and is as busy as a bee! She's not a whole lot different from her 12 month post other than her personality is beginning to show more and more each day. According to the nursery workers at church, Audrey is very social (wonder where she gets that from?) and tries to play with and interact with all of the other babies. She's still going to MDO but doesn't really love it. We are going to give it one more month and see if we just need to quit it altogether. She does love going to church though! She rarely cries when we leave her and she is almost always playing when we come pick her up. Unfortunately, that is not the case for MDO.

Here are a few of her favorite things....

....unloading the dishwasher is still a favorite of hers! Please ignore her PJ's-- we tie them up in the back now that she is walking. Otherwise, she slips on the hardwoods and linoleum.

.... playing in her "kitchen". We have it under the desk area in our kitchen and she plays and plays with it!

..... "talking" on the phone. She loves to play with our phone and has succeeded in changing the answering machine message a couple of times! If you call us, there is no telling what will be on the answering machine to greet you!

..... playing peek-a-boo in her crib. This is her "bed head"!

..... climbing in and out of this chair. She can do this for hours!

.... she also loves to take wagon rides. We do this everyday-- if not twice a day! We walk around our neighborhood and visit with all the kitties and other pets our neighbors have. These photos are of a trip we took last week. We got caught in the rain! She loved it!! We were both drenched from head to toe! I was quite a sight running down our street pulling Audrey in that wagon!

... eating butter cookies. She will eat half a bag in one sitting-- if we were to give them to her! Here she is loving her cookies...

...telling me she wants some more...

...getting a bit more persistent...

...now she's mad! So she pulls her hairbow out and flings it at me! See what I mean about her personality coming out more and more each day? I love her...

This sweet baby has certainly made our lives much more richer!

Although the sunflower patch...

...didn't go over so well, the doll stroller did! Audrey LOVED this thing! Hopefully Santa will bring her one of her own! She loved putting her doll in it and she loved being pushed in it most of all! As you can imagine, Meredith Grace and Laura didn't mind pushing her!

Sunflowers

On the way home from the beach, we stopped at my parents house to pick up Sweet Pea and to visit awhile. Daddy planted some sunflowers in the back so we took the opportunity to take some pictures of the girls with them before he let the cows get to them! Noone was very thrilled about having their picture taken on this day... especially since there were bees, spiders and bugs!
