VBS 2010
This year I only volunteered for 2 days at VBS. We had so many volunteers this year that they ended up telling me that I didn't have to come back my second day! I kept the nursery again and there were two babies and three adults. We spoiled them rotten!
Audrey spent her time having bible study, eating snacks, and making crafts. She also walked in a line like a big girl all the way to the sanctuary, sat in the chairs, and watched the big kids practice for their production. I couldn't believe she did all of that!

Father's Day 2010
We spent Saturday and Sunday visiting with my Daddy for Father's Day last weekend. We had a great time full of golf-cart rides and swimming in the pool. I did not take ANY pictures! Sunday we stopped by to see Clay's Daddy on our way home from my parents house. Again- it was fun but we kept cool and played inside. Mrs. Watts gave me some of Clay's old toys and books and I LOVED them! One was a cute little train and Audrey has enjoyed playing with it.
Since we were so busy visiting OUR daddies on Father's Day, we are having a "do-over" for Clay's celebration. This Sunday we will celebrate what a wonderful Daddy he is with 5 Guys and a blizzard (HIS requests!!). Plus, he will have a day of being able to do whatever he wants!
This was taken on the real Father's Day of Daddy and his little girl. She was a little annoyed because she wanted to suck her "sugar stick" and I didn't want it in her mouth for the picture! :)

A little of this and a little of that..
Two weeks ago my sister and I were having an email conversation about when Laura was coming up here to have her "Camp Christi". Lesa mentioned that she couldn't come last week because Lesa planned to take the girls to the beach, hoping to beat the oil. So, I, being the fabulous sister that I am, promptly invited myself to go with them!
Friday morning we got up early and went to eat at a Panama City Beach staple, Thomas' Doughnuts. I got a sausage and biscuit. Tee.. Hee.. Audrey had her first doughnut though and loved it!
After our yummy breakfast, we went and spent some time on the beach. It was beautiful and there wasn't a tar ball in sight. When I say "some time", what I really meant was 45 minutes. I'm not a big beach person. I really don't like the sand or the water but I learned about two years ago that a momma will do a lot of things she doesn't enjoy if it brings joy to her child! I actually sat in the sand and I got in the water up to my chest. Clay was shocked. I really don't think he believed me until I showed him the pictures as proof (and there is no way on God's green earth that I am posting that proof on this here little blog). I stayed out there as long as Audrey wanted to and I made sure I had a good time while I was doing it! Audrey can make anything fun!
Late that afternoon, we took the girls down to Seaside to try to get some cute pictures of them all. Let's just say that they weren't "feelin' it" and leave it at that.
These next pictures are my favorites. The first picture shows Laura sharing a bag of Doritos with Gracie and Audrey.
I have no clue how Audrey talked those two girls into giving up the Doritos but she is obviously loving them!
Audrey absolutely loves her cousins. She talks about them NONSTOP and anytime I say we are going somewhere, she'll say, "Gracie? Laura?" as if she's asking if we are going to see them! We both had a lot of fun and can't wait for Laura to come up here for Camp Christi!
Completely random and off topic:
I have changed a whole lot since becoming a momma but one of the strangest ways is my dreams at night. I have a dream that I dream about once a week. When Audrey was brand new I dreamt it every night. Thank goodness it is just weekly now. It starts out with Audrey roaming around the house while we sleep. She's somehow gotten out of her crib and is free. Sometimes I see her at the top of the stairs and I can't get to her before she topples down but the majority of the time the dream is of her asleep in our bed. I always dream that she is falling off the side of the bed and I have to catch her. This is where Clay enters the dream. Only I am not dreaming anymore. I am latched on to him in a major death grip thinking I am protecting my child when I am actually squeezing my husband to death! In the middle of the night. Almost. every. night. She'll be two in two months. Can you imagine how unbelievably annoying that would be for Clay? And yet, he's never said anything except to laugh about it. I so wish that dream would go away!

Yard Sale-ING and Summa time!
Audrey and I went to a yard sale a couple of weeks ago and picked up a couple of new toys for her!!
She LOVED them! There are two of these little bumper cars and they have rechargeable batteries. The batteries wouldn't charge when we go them home so Clay went and got her a new battery for one of them. We didn't get two because we wanted to make sure they would work! It did and we will be back for the other one!! She's so cute riding around in it. She hasn't figured out how to steer it completely yet so she just spins around in circles-- squealing the entire time! So much fun!!
The best part about these little cars is that I got them for..... EIGHT DOLLARS!! :)
I looked them up online and we can get brand-new ones for $116 EACH! Woo-hoo!! This was the best yard sale find I think I've ever found!
Moving on to more Splash Pad fun-- the Splash Pad in my little town is now open and we went to try it out last week! I imagine that we will spend many afternoons here! It is only 5 minutes from my house and Audrey loves it! She runs non-stop from the time we get there until we leave! I love it too!
We are heading back this afternoon! :)

Memorial Day 2010
Clay's brother, Shad and his family came over for lunch yesterday and we grilled out. It was a nice, relaxing day! Audrey played hard with Garrett and then took a nice, long nap! :)
We also had a little tub fun too! Clay dumped all of Audrey's balls into our tub from her ball pit because he wanted to wash them. We'd left them outside and it rained on them so they were a mess. After he got them all clean, he threw Audrey in there with them and she had a blast!
