Lyric's family invited us to go to a fall festival with them at their church. These two little girls play really well together so I knew Audrey would enjoy dressing up and playing with Lyric.
I asked Audrey to stand beside Shelby Claire so I could take her picture but she didn't want to- so then I asked Lyric. She jumped right over which then made Audrey decide she would like to have her picture made as well!
Cinderella's little blue bird was quite content in her stroller!
Erica helped with making the cotton candy...... glad I didn't have that job!
This was Audrey's first experience with cotton candy and to say she loved it is an understatement!
Jeremy, Lyric's Daddy, actually bobbed for apples the old fashioned way and came up successful!
Lyric was very brave and tried to get one herself! She even stuck her little face in the water!
Meanwhile....
If you look closely you can see Shelby Claire's brand new tooth!
Toward the end, the girls ran around being silly and jumped in the bouncy houses. Audrey loves any sort of bouncy house except the one we have in our basement! HA!

Smiley is baptised!
When we got back from the beach, I realized that Audrey was baptised during her 8th month and that I needed to get Shelby Claire's on the calendar! SC is slightly bigger than Audrey was at this age and I wanted them to both wear the dress and bonnet I made!
My handsome hubby and my super compliant child - ha!
Audrey went down with us to have SC baptised and even though she wasn't an angel before the service started, she was during! I was worried because it can be intimidating for anyone to go in front of so, say, 1000 or so people but especially for a three year old. She didn't mind. Shelby Claire didn't either! They were both perfect and when our pastor finished baptising Shelby Claire, Audrey took her little hand and gave her a kiss. She loves her baby, that's for sure!
After church, we went to take more pictures of my lovelies in their finest and the fall leaves.

We had intended for this service to be a low key event. I told my mom and family not to worry about driving up here because she had just been here the week before and we didn't even tell the rest of our family about it. Mistake! So, here I am, on the blog for the world to see-- I am so sorry we didn't tell everyone about Shelby Claire's baptism, we will make sure everyone knows about everything from here on out!!

Character Parade at MDO
Audrey told me a looooong time ago that she wanted to be Cinderella for Halloween and that Shelby Claire was to be her little blue bird. I thought that would be the easiest costume in the world to find so I told her- "Sure! That sounds like a great idea to me!". Um, bad idea. My little Audrey is petite for her age and we could not find a Cinderella costume anywhere that would fit her small frame. Most are for size 3-4 years and although she's 3, she is still wearing a lot of size 2's and some size 3's. So, I finally found one and cut and hacked and hemmed it up to make it work for her. She loved it and said she was "bootiful". I agree! These pictures are from her character parade and party at school.
Here little Cinderella is parading through the church. She hadn't noticed me at this point. She was smiling and waving to everyone just as Cinderella would do!
Artwork inside her classroom.... I wish that when I was a teacher that I would have realized how much parents are looking for their children's "stuff" to be displayed! Ha! I love seeing what she is doing!
These two boys sitting beside her are her "best friends". She loves them and talks about them all the time! Buzz Lightyear over there is really kind to her and plays with her a lot.
My mom came up and kept Smiley for me so I could enjoy Audrey's party without tending to her at the same time. It was a good day but Audrey and I both missed Shelby Claire. When I go to Audrey's classroom, she wanted to know where her "baby" was!

Love the Fall!
The historic part of our little town has beautiful trees that make the best piles of leaves! Since Audrey was around 18 months, we've taken her down there to the same spot for a picture. This year we got to bring her little best friend along with us!
I love this next picture of Smiley. She makes this face ALL THE TIME! She is huffing and puffing while she makes it! She's not upset, she just discovered how to make those funny sounds and now we all laugh when she does it. :D
She was fine and dandy in the leaves until her momma leaned her back into them. She didn't care for that ONE BIT! I have to pick her up and love all over her for her to stop crying. The sound must have scared her or something.
After our little photo shoot, we took them to the park to run off some steam before nap. I wanted a picture of myself with them all dressed up in their cute fall clothes. Audrey wasn't into it.
While Audrey was napping, Smiley practiced pulling up. This girl will be walking soon and that scares this Momma! Look at those little chubby wubby legs!!
We are proud of her and so is she!

Pumpkin Carving
We invited our friends, The Kins, over for dinner and to carve some pumpkins. Dinner was a bust but the pumpkin carving was lots of fun!
This was as close as Josie got to the pumpkin carving. After this picture, she left her Daddy to do it all by himself!
Audrey, on the other hand, was all about getting her hands inside that pumpkin!
I participated in a group freezer meal cooking weekend a month or so ago. We made 28ish meals and froze them all to pull out later. Each meal has been yummy so far but unfortunately, the one meal we choose to invite friends over to partake in.. was a nightmare. We did have some good old-fashioned cornbread to eat with it though!
