Western Day at Audrey's school

Audrey's little school had Western Day for the 3K. They participated in many events related to being a cowgirl/cowboy and Audrey was definitely dressed for the part! She's the most adorable little cowgirl I've ever seen!

In this activity, they were in a race to see who could run down to the teachers, unroll their "bedroll", snore on it for four snores and then race back. It was super cute!!

They also had old-fashioned pony races too! This was a hard thing to do in a little, bitty skirt!
When the cowgirl got home from school, she and her daddy planted some flowers at our mailbox. This has become a tradition for the two of them. Every spring and fall, they go to the nursery, Audrey picks out the flowers and then they plant them together.

She's a good little helper. :)

Happy Easter!!

Audrey was a little worried about the Easter Bunny coming to see her this year. She said she wanted the "goodies" that he would bring but did not want him to come in the house. I told her that I would just meet him at the door then. :)

He knew exactly what she and her sister would like-- chocolate, a bug catcher and art supplies for Audrey!

And chocolate, a lovie and sippy cups for Shelby Claire!

Although you can't tell it from this picture, Shelby Claire was running a fever Easter morning. Clay stayed home with her and I took Audrey with me to church. We did dress them both up in their Easter dresses with high hopes of getting some shots of the two of them together. Audrey wasn't in the mood at all but SC certainly didn't mind posing for the camera!

I know.. you can't even tell she was sick.
My little turkey hiding in the tree.

Coaxed a tiny smile from her...

After church, we hid eggs in the front yard for the girls to hunt. They LOVED it-- both girls went running to find the eggs.

They found them all and then we hid them again, and again, and again! It was a nice, relaxed day with just us.

Easter at Granny and Paw Paw's

We went down to visit with my parents for a few days before Easter. Audrey and Shelby Claire love playing with their cousins and having some time in the "country". :)

Shelby Claire did a lot of sitting in Paw Paw's lap.
We hid and hunted eggs about a million times. Shelby Claire caught on really quickly to this game!

Sweet, sweet sisters. Audrey loves to love on Shelby Claire and to help her anyway she can.  Audrey says that Shelby Claire is her best friend. :)

Shelby Claire spent a lot of time cleaning out Granny's cabinets. I can remember Gracie, Laura, and Audrey doing the same exact thing when they were babies.
Audrey got to sit at the "big girl" bar stools all by herself while we were there also. Gracie and Laura normally sit there because they are so high up that I'm afraid Audrey will fall off. Not any longer.. she can do it now! She was very proud of herself!! Me, too.

We didn't stay but a couple of days this trip. We had to get back home because the Easter Bunny was coming to our house!!
