Randomness

Meet Gerald.
Gerald is Audrey's newest lovey. He's a giraffe that can't dance and has a book to accompany him. He is so cute.
Meet temper-tantrum at it's finest. Littlest one has learned to work it and does not mind letting 'er fly at a whim. This particular fit was because I took a permanent marker away from her.
More outside pool play. Not sure where the little-miss-serious face came from. This one is turning into a Daddy's girl too. I told Clay the day we found out that we were having another girl that he couldn't "have her" too but he's won her heart like he did the other two girls in our house. Blech.

My big girl is getting to really be a big girl. She's finally hit 30 pounds and we don't know how to act. She is still "toe-walking" though so we are going to a specialist about that in June. Praying that it's just an easy fix with some shoe inserts or something. :) Most likely going to have to say goodbye to her "flop-flops". The random adults that make comments about how cute my little ballerina is are not helping our toe-walker either  but there is not much I can do about that!

We are looking forward to a laid back summer of doing NOTHING around here. Audrey has VBS and then one week of a gymnastics camp-- other than that, we are footloose and fancy free for the entire summer and I am so looking forward to it!!!

Last Day of 3K

My precious big girl has completed 3K and if I never see another worksheet in my life, it will be too soon! :) I love seeing the cutesy, crafts come home that she does and for some reason it seemed like she never brought any home this year. Wah-wah!
Miss Sassy Pants has had an opinion on her clothing for quite awhile now. She's not a fan of ruffle pants at all-- to the point that she will cry HUGE crocodile tears if I make her wear them. I'm not into that kind of torture so I just quit buying them for her. Ruffle capris and shorts are still okay though!?!? So I fill her wardrobe with them. This particular outfit was "not cute" to her though. She didn't want to wear "one.more.smocked.anything". I convinced her that since it was her last day, she must wear something cute. I had ironed it and it was too late to change it but next year at the end of 4K, she could pick her outfit. I'm sad that she's boycotting smocked clothing but it will certainly make my wallet happy.
This one, on the other hand, has no clothing opinions whatsoever so I still can dress her as I choose. Too Too got her this outfit at a little shop in Rosemary Beach while we were down there and I LOVE IT! There's nothing cuter than a pinafore or bubble on a baby girl!!

Ms. Jill was one of Audrey's teachers this year. She was a really kind, lovey-dovey type teacher. She fit Audrey to a "T".
I took Shelby Claire with me to Audrey's party (where else would she go!?!) and Audrey was so, so proud that we were there. She took SC around to all of her friends and told them, "this is my baby sister". So.stinkin.sweet!!!
After eating lunch with Audrey, we went outside and Audrey played on some bouncy houses and SC ran around crazy. It was a fun end-of-year party.

Beach Bums

Our in-laws invited us to go down to Seagrove Beach with them for a bit-- they had a condo on the beach rented and we took them up on the offer! We only stayed 2 nights but it was a fun, relaxing trip. Audrey loves everything about the beach so it is worth the hassle of the packing and traveling to take her. It only takes normal people about 4.5 hours to get there from here but it takes us no less than 8. No joke. I have NO IDEA how we manage that but we do!!
Shelby Claire loves just about everything and the beach was no exception. Makes me excited to take them both down there more often!!

Audrey's already talking about when we are going back to her "condo" at the beach. She wants to have her birthday party there and invite her entire class from school. That would make me warm up to the whole "Ariel" theme that she has requested a whole lot more!

Random Awesomeness

Both of my girls have always enjoyed playing in the laundry hampers. This time, it was the big one.

Shelby Claire loves to play with Audrey's clothes (and her own, for that matter) and brought these to me to put on her. I obliged and thought she was some kind of cute.

My favorite kind of morning are mornings like this.

Final Tumbling Observation

We went to see what Audrey has learned in a year's worth of tumbling. Well, we learned that she has a typical three year old attention span and she can do an awesome forward roll. And stand on her head. :-)
So proud of her new medal. She worked hard for it. :D

These were the only two pictures I got of her- the rest were unbelievably blurry. Ugh.

Shelby Claire's First Trip to the Splash Pad

A small town about 10-15 minutes away from us just got a new splash pad at the end of the year last year. That makes 4 splash pads within comfortable driving distance-- not counting the one at the zoo. Another one  will open at the end of this year that is even closer than all the others. I am so excited to have this fun, free entertainment for the girls. I am especially excited that Shelby Claire seems to love it already!

Audrey is such a loving sister. She likes to hold Shelby Claire's hand and help her to do new things. In this photo, she is saying, "Come on, cute wittle sister.. it's fun!". I loved it!

This particular Splash Pad had an area specifically for toddlers and one for the older kids. Audrey is right in between so she bounced from one side of the park to the other. Shelby Claire was as happy as she could be just hanging out in the toddler section.
Audrey and Lyric were climbing this frog and poor Shelby Claire tried and tried to do what the big girls were doing. It won't be long before she will be right on top with her sister.

Audrey's got a new smile.... hahaha. Love her.
