Mother's Day Weekend 2010- Strawberry Picking with My Parents

After we left our visit with Clay's parents, we went on down to visit with mine. Late that afternoon we went strawberry picking! Audrey was as cute as a button running around that strawberry patch!
She was looottsss of help also! As much as a 1 1/2 year old can be!

Here she is showing her Daddy what she'd just picked! She was so proud of herself!

Now showing Granny!

After a short while, she decided that the old-fashioned picking of the strawberry's was a tad boring so she started chunking them as fast as I could put them in her bucket!

This is her wind-up. An athlete in the making! :)

In this picture she is throwing the strawberry at me!

I distracted her from throwing them with her bucket. I showed her how to sit on it but she soon bored of that also.

Standing in the bucket was a lot more fun than sitting on it!

And finally, a picture of me with my own Strawberry Shortcake as we were leaving. Love, love this child!

Mother's Day Weekend 2010- Visiting with Clay's Parents

We started our weekend by stopping by Clay's parents' house on our way to Andalusia on Saturday. Gerald said that they hadn't seen Audrey since January so it'd been a long time!

While we were there, we saw sweet little newborn kittens, cows, a donkey and the horses. We played the Wii and Audrey ran all over the place! It was a great visit!

The many faces of Audrey...

Audrey Bug has developed quite the fine motor skills these days. She's gotten very good at controlling her facial expressions especially.

For example:

The "Happy" face.

The "Sad" face.

The "Stinkeye".

The "I'm So Proud of Myself for Making Mommy and Daddy Laugh" face.

Muffins for Mom

Audrey's little MDO program had Muffins for Mom on Thursday. It was fun to go in and visit with Audrey's little friends and their mommas!

Audrey ate an entire blueberry muffin by herself! I was so proud of her but then she proceeded to not eat anything else the entire day! :)

My milkshake is better than yours..

My Mommy group went on a tour of Red Robin restaurant last Friday and Audrey absolutely loved it! I was particularly excited because we were going to get to make our own milkshakes and see the inside of a restaurants kitchen. We ended up not going in the kitchen because there were so many of us there (around 30, I think)! It didn't matter though because we had other fun things to do!

Surprisingly, Audrey's favorite part was the restaurant's mascot, Red Robin. She loved that thing! When it would walk away, she'd say, "Where is duck? Where is duck?". She was so cute!! She would also say, "Duck, hold you" which is how she asks to BE held. Everytime I'd get close to the Red Robin to give her a chance to be held, she'd change her mind. She just wanted to be close to that Big Red Duck! I tried and tried to tell her that it was a robin, not a duck, but she wasn't convinced!

Here's Audrey and Addie. Audrey is telling Addie that "Yes, all of us precious baby girls have our hairbows on!'.

We had a great time. The restaurant was very well organized and was able to accomodate us all well. I am going to have to take Audrey back just to visit that duck again!
