HOMECOMING!!!!!!
Audrey came home today at 12:35pm and is doing wonderful. Her EKG test found no problems. Christi, Audrey, and I are doing great. Our family has been helping us and have really made our life easier. We are so appreciative. We can finally just focus on loving on Audrey and learning how to take care of her.

GOOD NEWS!!!!!!
Christi is home and will be spending the night in her bed. The doctor changed Audreys heart rate minimum limit to 65 beats per minute. This means that if she does not go below this number she can go home on Wednesday. She also has to have a positive result from her EKG. Everyone in the NICU thinks the EKG will be fine.
When can we bring Audrey home????
Audrey is doing really well in all areas except her heart rate continues to be low. She has always had a low baseline heart rate, but the doctors are a little concerned because it dropped to 66 bpm last night. They did an EKG this morning and sent it to UAB to be reviewed. They keep reassuring us that this is only precautionary, but the nurse told us today that Audrey would not go home until she has had 7 to 8 days without an "event" with her heart rate. We are still waiting to see what the doctor says. Hopefully we will know something later this afternoon.
Christi is doing really well and continues to get stronger everyday. She will be discharged this afternoon at 6:00pm. We will be moving to a motel room that is attached to the hospital. This will allow us to remain closer to Audrey.
Please continue to pray that all of Audrey's test results are positive.

Big Changes!!!
Today was a good day for Christi and Audrey. Both of them stop taking their antibotics and had their I.V.s removed. Audrey was moved to a crib and began feeding. Christi will be discharged on Monday and Audrey will hopefully be discharged on Tuesday.

We are so thankful for the wonderful nurses at St. Vincents. They have loved Audrey as if she was their own.

We would like to thank everyone for their prayers and all they have done for us during the last 3 days.

Audrey Day Two
It has been almost 48 hours since Audrey was born and she is doing really well. The doctor in NICU said that they would start to feed her today and if everything goes well we can take her home on Monday or Tuesday. Christi walked the entire way to the NICU and stayed with Audrey most of the morning. Both Christi and Audrey are making great progress.

She was born with a full head of dark brown hair.

Twiddle-dee, Twiddle-dum
All I am doing is twiddling my thumbs waiting on sweet Audrey. She is moving and grooving a ton today but still no significant action. If she doesn't come tonight or tomorrow then we will definitely have her on Thursday. Clay and I are ready!!
Clay couldn't twiddle his thumbs if he tried-- he likes to stay busy. He spent the entire weekend "nesting". I haven't gotten that desire yet but he certainly does plenty of it for both of us. Thank goodness! Here are some pictures of some of his weekend projects....

No baby yet!
Hey, friends! We went to the doctor this afternoon and we still haven't made any progress. He did say that if Audrey doesn't decide to come on her own before August 21st we will induce her that day. If that's the case, she will share a birthday with my niece, Laura, AND my mother-in-law!! What a present, huh? A new cousin and a new granddaughter. Audrey will also be the first girl born on Clay's side of the family in 48 years. What a sweet treat!
Here's a photo of me when I got back from the appointment-- 40 weeks 1 day. Check out Sweet Pea... she has no idea what is in store for her in the next week. :)

Today's Audrey's Due Date
Today is the day that Audrey is suppose to arrive! I don't think it is going to happen. It's already 4:00 and we haven't seen any action. I have tried to stay busy today and keep my mind off of it but the excitement/anticipation is consuming me! Earlier today I went to Sam's and walked a few laps around the store thinking that might help get something going but all it did was get me out of breath. I was thankful that they have those nice recliners that they sell for me to sit on to take a break. I also went to a Chinese restaurant and ordered some yummy sesame chicken. I parked as close as I could get to the front door at that restaurant though. I'd worn myself out at Sam's. That total excursion killed about 2 hours of the day. When I got home I decided to read a bit from The Baby Whisperer- a book my friend Kelly loaned me. That lasted about 5 minutes before my afternoon nap took over. Now I am trying to motivate my big ole self to get downstairs and get my clothes together to wear to church tonight. We are having a BBQ--- should be fun! As you can probably tell from this rambling post-- I am pretty bored and can't wait to see our little girl. Who knows? Maybe it will be tonight? Maybe she won't like the BBQ!! If not, I go back to the doctor again tomorrow. I will keep you updated.....

Clay's Daddy came up Friday night and helped him put Audrey's new crib together. We now have 4 different wood finishes in her room! Her changing table matched the crib that was recalled and they wouldn't take it back when they recalled the crib. Her full bed is a dark-old mahogany looking color and her crib is close to that but the changing table is cherry. Oh, well! I know Audrey won't mind one bit.

Here are some more pictures of her room. Now all we need is a baby! :)
This is the playroom.
Beautiful artwork by my nieces and sister!
391/2 weeks pregnant

Baby Audrey
Went to the doctor this afternoon for a check-up---- no progress! :) She said that didn't mean anything really, Audrey could come today or next week. Who knows!?! I don't really blame her though, who would want to leave her nice, cozy little apartment that she has? Clay says that he is serving her an eviction notice. LOL!
After the doctor's visit, Clay and I went down to Soho and ate at the Grey House Grill (thanks for the recommendation, DAWN!). The food was yummy but the best part was Soho Sweets. They had homemade gelato! I got a heath bar waffle cone and Clay (believe it or not!) got a german chocolate cake waffle cone that had actual pieces of cake in it. It was a nice little date. Now-- just like old married folk-- we are ready to go to bed!

Bible Study

Our small group is in between bible studies right now so all the couples are in charge of presenting one night until we start up again in September. Clay and I did The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman tonight. If you've not read it--- it's an easy read and it gave us some insight into our relationship and how we communicate with one another.
Also, please pray for a sweet little 3 month old baby boy-- Joshua Bishop. His family has just learned that he has nueroblastoma (sp?). His daddy just went through a year of treatment for cancer as well. You can learn more about them at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/scottbishop which is Joshua's Daddy's website or http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/joshuabishop-- Joshua's website.
I just learned how to post music to the blog today. If you like the music by Third Day, Mercy Me, dc Talk, or Matt Redman-- then come to Clearbranch UMC on Sunday mornings and you can hear our Praise Band perform it live! That's where I heard it all first!

Here we go....
We plan to use this blog to keep our family and friends posted about sweet little Audrey. This is our first post and hopefully we will actually be able to keep it updated. We'll see....
Lesa is coming up this afternoon from Andalusia! YAY! We are going to go pick up Audrey's crib and then go shop for Laura-belles birthday. For those of you who haven't already heard me whine and complain---- Audrey's first crib was recalled so this is crib #2. :)
I will post a picture of it and her room as soon as hubby gets it put together.
