We went to the Pediatrician Tuesday for Audrey's first check-up. Our favorite VHELP Pedi's (Dr. L) office is less than a mile away from our house. The appointment was at 8:30 and I got up at 6:00 to start getting ready. I should have gotten up at 4:00. Thank goodness my momma was here to help me. I eventually just gave up and she had to get Audrey bathed and ready while I got myself ready. I never realized what kind of drama could go into a doctor's appointment! We did make it on time! For those of you without kiddos-- the pediatricians office actually has two waiting rooms-- one for "well babies" and one for "sick babies". That was pretty neat to me!! Audrey now weighs 7lbs 13 oz. We are so proud!! Dr. L said that she was doing great and he just loved all over her. That made me love him even more. He did say that we couldn't take her out in "groups" for 2 months. So that means no church, Target, grocery shopping or anything. He specifically said not to take her to VHELP. I guess I will have to wait until she is bigger and stronger before I take her up there! He said to tell Mrs. Holley and Mrs. Hughes to see him about that if they had any problems with it. LOL! Here is a picture of us before we ran out the door. She is wearing a sweet little dress that Lesa gave her. I love the hand-me-downs!!

She is sooo cute!! I want to hug and kiss her!! John Turner will have such a beautiful girlfriend!!HAHA!!
I am glad the pedatrician visit went well! I am glad you are going through all of these things first so that I can get advice from you when it is my turn!!!
That is a good picture of you and Audrey, but my favorite is the one where it looks like she is smiling in her sleep...so precious!!! As far as having to get you and Audrey ready, the thing I learned to do with Caroline was to get her feed and ready and then she was usually ready to go back to sleep or ready to "play" on a palette and then I would get ready. I am sure you will learn soon what works best for you though. Oh, and enjoy that staying away from crowds thing. I know you are anxious to get out and about, but it will come and this time flies by sooooo fast:)
I am so glad that she had a good report at the ped's office!!! Sawyer weighed 7 lbs. 13 oz. when he was born and dropped to 7lbs. 3 oz. Fortunately, he is weighing in at 8lbs. 9oz!!! The pictures are precious!!! What a BEAUTIFUL little girl that you have!! Sawyer may be calling your home one day! :)
She is so cute, I could just eat her up! Welcome to motherhood! It will be hard to get out the door from now until she is out of the house! I'm sure you'll quickly learn about "stranger danger" when you do start to go out. Complete strangers will want to touch her and may even follow you around! I had one lady follow me in Walmart one time with Katherine. I swear I saw her 5 times before I left(staring intently at Katherine). SCARY!!
Christy, You have a BEAUTIFUL baby girl!! I think she looks just like you. Kelley Garner
