Audrey also went to her first birthday party this week. Sweet little Clara turned three and had quite a fancy party! She had it at a cute little toy store! The girls had hot pink feather boas, decorated "high" heel shoes, a fashion show, and the birthday girl sprinkled all of them with magic birthday dust. So cute!! Audrey just took it all in- she's a bit too little to participate! Maybe when Clara turns 4 Audrey can join in the fun.
Today is Audrey's 7 month birthday. She has become much more mobile in the past month. Although she is not crawling yet, she somehow manages to get herself wherever she wants to go!! She is pulling up on her Leap Pad Table thingy and tries to stand up whenever she can. If we are on the floor, she wants to hold my fingers so she can pull up, then she will promptly sit down, then do it all over again. We probably do that about a hundred times a day!! It is so much fun to her!
She can also sit up from a prone position. She did that for the first time this week and I didn't even notice! Clay came in from work and asked me if she was doing it yet and I said "Nooo..... she probably won't do that for a looonnngg time!" and then about 10 minutes later we both look down and she was sitting up!! She did it!Since she has learned to do that, it is a bit harder to get her to go down for a nap. I will lay her in her crib and she will promptly sit back up. Not sure yet how we are going to take care of that!
This morning I awoke to a very weird sound coming from the monitor. I jumped up and quickly looked at her to see what was going on--- she was sitting up in the bed scratching on something. I couldn't see through the monitor what she had so I took off running up there to check on her and this is what she was doing.....
Now I have to get back to this...
.... before Audrey wakes from her nap. I have to have it done before next Sunday!

Can't believe A is 7 months old! Sounds like she may skip the crawling and just go on to walking!!

Good thing I don't live close to you because we would be going out to lunch everyday!!
I think we are getting another tooth! We are very grumpy and had a low fever yesterday! Still grumpy this morning! We are skipping church because I couldn't put him down long enough to get myself ready and Carlton is at the hospital working! He is happy in his swing for now! It seems to be the only place he wants to be!
Oh Christi the fun is just starting to begin. I love the first picture of her messing with the wall and blinds.
Happy 7 months to Ms. Audrey!!! It won't be long and she'll be all involved at the party! Looked like a cute party. We had spring break also and it flew by way too quickly. We didn't do a whole lot since I am not in the "planning" or for that matter even "going places" mood! My poor children say I am boring! Only if they understood how tired I am! I know it will get better before long, or at least I hope! It was a beautiful week and I am glad you and Audrey had lots of fun!
I can't believe Audrey is already sitting and pulling up on things and playing like that in her bed!! She IS an unquisitive little thing, checking out the blinds and stuff!! That's too cute!! I also can't BELIEVE you are smocking!! Well, actually, I CAN believe it, Lesa smocked Ellie something when she was little, so I'm guessing you and her both have that talent!! Good for you!
