Our little Wildcat has officially decided to crawl all over the place. She did her first little bit of crawling on the Sunday of her baptism but as her Aunt Melissa likes to say about me.."I was in denial." I just am not ready for our sweet baby girl to grow up! Needless to say to all you Mommas but the past week has definitely been different from the week before. The most challenging part is chasing that naked hiney across the changing table so I can change her diaper!!! She is a master twister, slider, scooter!! Clay gave her a bath tonight while I went to a coupon class and said that he had to lock her down with his legs just so he could put her clothes on her. She is ready to GO!GO!GO!
She has become much better at pulling up. She has lost some of the wobbles and is very confident in herself. She will slide from one piece of furniture to the next-- not far though. Manytimes she is more brave than she is actually capable and will hit the floor! She earned herself two little bruises on her forehead last week! Our hardwoods and tile are not very forgiving to a beginning crawler/stunt performer!
Here she is.... our sweet little wildcat at her first egg hunt! She "found" this pink egg and decided to explore it a bit with her tongue!
Hopefully I will catch the crawling on video before long so you all can see!

Well, Congrats on this milestone!! All the mommies are crying with you:) We had hardwood all through our house when J started crawling too. Better for them to learn how to deal now - that way you don't ever have to put that awful carpet in your house!! We've had two sicknesses in mother's house w/ carpet since we've been with her and I wouldn't have it in my house for ANYTHING!! LOL
Yep, your world is about to get very busy!!! I was "in denial" too...most parents are pushing their children to crawl or walk. Caroline actually started taking steps here and there around nine months, but never covered a lot of ground. Several folks told me she was walking, but I didn't consider it walking until she was actually getting somewhere when she took those steps!!! I just think they grow up fast enough and I want to savor every single moment with her:)
Wow, already crawling!! Does time fly or what? Get your running shoes on because she's not going to let you sit still!
Brylie Ann is crawling too and in everything!! It is a fun stage but scary that they will get into something they shouldn't!! This afternoon I have been trying to baby-proof they playroom but with two older ones it is hard to keep it safe in there for her!! Sounds like the Easter Egg Hunt was fun!
