I was very apprehensive about how Audrey would handle the trip (6 hours without stopping!). I worried and fretted about it for days! I shouldn't have-- she was perfect!! She didn't fuss or cry the ENTIRE way there or BACK!!! I did stop every hour and a half to two hours and let her get out and stretch her legs. We visited Targets, Walmarts, rest stops and convenience stores. We spent 45 minutes in one convenience store!! She played and played with the King Size Snickers and Reeses Cups! Whatever worked!! We sang and sang, pointed to everyone of our body parts, practiced our sign language, played peek-a-boo, looked at books, and watched hours of "The Wiggles"! I had so much fun with her!
We left on Thursday and came back Monday. While we were visiting Sara, we spent a lot of time relaxing and eating good food! Although I went to Savannah, I didn't go to see "Savannah". I went to see Sara and we didn't even go to the historic district except to drive through on our way to an arts and crafts show. It was a nice, restful weekend!
I didn't get any pictures of Sara at her house?? I'm not sure why! I guess I was having too much fun relaxing!
Sara's boyfriend, Matt, built a barn on some land he has. He is planning to "build Sara's house" next to the barn. For now, he lives in the upstairs portion of the barn. It is a traditional red barn with two lean-tos on each side.
The pumpkin farmer himself, Matt.
Audrey, Candace, and Morgan (Matt's nieces) "harvesting" onions. :)
Contemplating eating part of the pumpkin leaf.
Decided against it!
Now it's Sara's turn to come here!
