Father's Day

We did our usual tour of south Alabama for Father's Day weekend this year. We started out at my parents' house and then ended up at Clay's parents' house. It was a super fun weekend but exhausting at the same time.

We started out Friday morning by taking Clay out for breakfast to celebrate him being the super daddy he is! His absolute favorite meal is breakfast so I knew that he would enjoy nothing more! I didn't tell him where we were going to eat until we got there. He'd never been before but it is not in the best area of town and he doesn't usually care to go there. I knew he would love it and I wanted him to try it so I didn't tell him! Ha! We went to the Original Pancake House and he did love it! We most likely won't ever go back but he did enjoy the meal anyway!
After we filled our bellies with yummy pancakes, we headed on South to see my family. We cooked out, swam in the pool, made homemade ice cream and just had a good time. I have no idea why but I didn't even get my camera out down there. We spent one night there and then headed to Greenville to see Clay's parents after lunch on Saturday.

They got Audrey and Shelby Claire a little kiddie pool and they both loved it. It was a super hot afternoon but was still pretty enjoyable when you stuck your feet in the pool to cool off!

Clay enjoyed it also!!

Back off ladies, he's all mine! :D

 Random photos from the weekend:

On our way home, we reached 100,000 miles on my car. You will have to peer through the dust to see the odometer. There are many things that were left by the wayside when we had children and the cleanliness of my car is one of them. :)

Smiley got a new outfit and she loves it! I do too but unfortunately she won't be able to wear it again because it is SNUG on this chunky little monkey!!

Smiley also practiced and practiced rolling over all weekend. She grunted and strained and finally had success Monday morning. She'd just turned four months old.

Part of Clay's Father's Day gift from Audrey was this beautiful tie that she made him at school-- he loved it!! He wore it proudly and it is now hanging on our refrigerator!

Overall we had a great weekend of celebrating all the daddies in our lives. I wish I had gotten a picture of me with my daddy! :(
