Sweet little Audrey is growing up right before my eyes. I think I have made several posts where I have said that her personality is showing but I REALLY think her little spirit has bloomed over the past two months. She is learning new words on a daily basis and is trying out all kinds of new mobility tricks (walking backwards, standing on her head, climbing stairs). I used to be able to tell people, "Oh, she's holding her head up" or "she's crawling",etc. As she gets older, I can't keep up with all she can do. I started keeping a list of the words she can say a few weeks ago and then gave up. She learns a new one everyday! Here's a rundown of her latest and greatest...
She can say: thank you, purple, yellow, bye bye, cookie, chicken, pea pea, peas, Granny, Paw Paw, boo, Laura, shoes, bow, one, two, three, five, hey, hi, momma, daddy, poo poo, tee tee, side (outside), play, bess you (bless you), Gracie, pillow and a whole slew of other words that we can't make out!
She can sign: eat, bye bye, all done, outside, milk, more, diaper, dog
Identifies: eyes, ears, nose, head, toes, feet, hands, belly button (and mine, Clay's and anyone else who dares to ask!)
She will say "two" when I say "one"! So funny!
When we were in Savannah, she went and got her changing pad and a diaper and brought them to me. She then said, "Momma, poo poo" and signed "diaper". She did that THREE times while we were there! She also did it once and she was dry as a bone and she hasn't done it since. I think it was a fluke but it is something fun to document!
As for Audrey's temperament-- she's a very happy baby. She rarely ever cries or fusses. She's typically at her crankiest when she wakes from her afternoon nap. She is usually hungry and is pretty impatient with me as I get her snack ready!
Her absolute favorite activity is playing outside. She is constantly signing "outside" or saying "pay, side" and pointing at the door.
When she hears the garage door open she gets so excited! She'll usually make her "O" face and run around-- the whole time I'm singing, "Daddy's home!". By the time Clay makes it in the house, she is beside herself with anticipation. From that point on, she drops me like a rock. She's ALL DADDY from the time he gets home from work until bedtime. She grabs his finger and pulls him all over the house, showing him her toys, her baby dolls, her stroller, her playroom. Whatever she can show him, she does! It is so precious!!

So sweet. I love the last part about her and Clay. Matthew missed that age with Siah and will miss it again with Levi. Sad, because it's such a fun stage. You are so good at documenting everything. Keep it up!
